Bask in the Beauty of Namcheon River’s Waterfall I am delighted to share one of my favorite nature-inspired cafes in South Korea. The Woods Cafe offers a uniquely enchanting experience set against the awe-inspiring canvas of a three-story waterfall and soothing river. The cafe provides an exceptional atmosphere where you can indulge in the simple pleasures of sipping your coffee amidst the melodious symphony of cascading water, towering mountains, and immersing yourself in the tranquil embrace of lush forest landscapes. The Woods Cafe Kids Free on the Weekend Our first stop is this incredible waterfall by the Namcheon River. It’s where you can experience the mesmerizing power of flowing water while surrounded by a peaceful forest. Made more enjoyable by the no-kids allowed policy enforced during this time on the weekend. You’ll be able to hear the soothing sound of the waterfall, the gentle rustling of leaves, and the refreshing scent of the woods. It’s a place those without kids can truly feel relaxed and inspired. The cafe’s interior features rich, dark wood accents complemented by warm, earthy colors. Tucked discreetly away from the urban hustle and bustle. The Woods Cafe is a serene escape in a wooded clearing overlooking a tranquil river. Discover Liebevoll Cafe – A Garden Treehouse for Grownups The Waterfall at the Woods Cafe The tranquility of the river is deceptive, for it engages both your sight and your senses in a multisensory symphony. As you bask in the sun’s warmth high in the sky, you’ll hear the gentle murmur of the river, the soft rustling of leaves in the breeze, and the distant chirping of birds, creating a harmonious natural soundtrack. The river, although serene here, originates from a mighty three-story waterfall located at the far end of the cafe grounds. This mighty cascade sends water tumbling down, crashing onto the rocks below, creating a refreshing spray that mingles with the crisp forest air. You can witness this majestic spectacle from the comfort of the cafe or a picnic table on two levels adjacent to the waterfall. It’s a perfect juxtaposition of nature’s raw power and the cozy haven of The Woods Cafe. The Menu at the Woods Cafe The cafe’s design ingeniously incorporates the soothing sounds of the waterfall and the river, enhancing the overall ambiance. You must order inside and come pick it up when the buzzer goes off. I wouldn’t sit inside unless the weather is extremely hot or cold. Why? Because all along the picturesque banks of the Gunwi River, adjacent to the majestic Palgonsan Mountain, you’ll discover dozens of tables thoughtfully shaded with umbrellas. Public Service Announcement: Shipping Your Car to and from South Korea If luck is on your side, you may secure a table on the lower level, granting you an unobstructed and awe-inspiring view of the magnificent waterfall. However, be prepared for an exhilarating experience, as you might also feel the refreshing mist generated by the cascading waters as they thunder down, adding an extra layer of immersion into the natural beauty surrounding you. The cafe’s menu offers a variety of delicious food options. The menu includes a cheese and mushroom panini that is buttery and delicious baked goods that perfectly complement their coffee. If you are a bacon-averse, you can order the panini without it. Let’s talk travel; check out Beyond Borders: Stacey Peters on the Age Has No Limit Podcast. Like it? Pin it!
