Getting to the Bridge and Mountain

We drove our car, but you can also take the bus and the train– with both of the latter taking an exceptionally longer time. It took about 65 minutes to drive the 65 km with light traffic.

Once there, you will be instructed to park your vehicle at the Udusan Parking Lot (X). From there, you can either hike 4 hours to the bridge or opt for the shuttle bus service (and a 30-minute hike), which will take you directly to the bridge and mountain. The latter option is perfect for those with mobility issues or who prefer a more relaxed journey.

Although the Geochang Udusan Suspension Bridge is open year-round, I suggest you plan your visit during the spring or autumn seasons. These times of the year offer milder temperatures and beautiful natural scenery, with cherry blossoms and azaleas blooming in spring and vibrant foliage in autumn.

You can bring your camera, but you’ll need your smartphone to capture the breathtaking views from the bridge. Although I didn’t see any signs that forbade drones, it was very windy, so I didn’t dare launch my tiny drone.
