There are tons of blogs that will tell you why Franklin’s is different from all the other Texas BBQs. I can tell you, I was not disappointed in the wait for the brisket at Franklin BBQ. I barely got back into the car before I broke off a piece of brisket and yes, it was delicious. It fell apart in my fingers. It was moist and seasoned just right. Who knows, I may even wait in line again, it was part of the experience.
Mexican food is a hit or miss proposition. It’s not like there is no market or appreciation for Mexican food, it’s that very few restaurants execute the fresh tomato, onion, cilantro, sour cream and the perfect balance of peppers in a way that it doesn’t become a ‘Korean imitation’ of what Mexican food should be.

I loved almost everything I ate while traveling, especially the street foods and most definitely the street food in Thailand and Cambodia– where we almost always pulled up a plastic chair to a plastic table just a few feet from the curb.
The tandoori chicken was the absolute star of the show. It might have been the best tandoori chicken I’ve ever had. It was that good. It was juicy and the seasoning went all the way to the bone. I had orange fingers for the rest of the day. That chicken is the main reason, I’ll go back to the Taj Mahal.
Brunch is served from 11-1 pm daily and cost 11,500 Won per person. Brunch includes eggs (cooked your way or scrambled with/ without bacon), hash browns, sausage and bacon, tossed salad, toast or bagel, fresh fruit and your choice of coffee or juice.
