About Us

I am a former editor, a freelance writer, and I’ve contributed to 70+ written and online publications.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

I am an Army Brat and military (Army) spouse for more than 25 years. And I’ve been blessed to raise two kids– one Navy and one former Air Force. Moreover, together, we’ve created nine homes and outlasted seven deployments. We’ve traveled to 50+ countries on three continents. And I’ve written about most of it right here.

About the Duffelbagspouse Travels

Duffelbagspouse Travels is all about travels, wellness, and maintaining a healthy home while serving the country. I do this by reminding spouses of their value and how integral we are to our military members’ success– without forgetting our independence. I highlight weekend and day trips from military installations around the world, personalized itineraries, and building community in an environment that is transient every 2-3 years.

Therefore, every week you will find posts on how I not only survive but thrive in an environment that is constantly changing. And that’s despite the fact military life is not always conducive to a happy and cohesive family life.

Yet, Duffelbagspouse Travels is not your typical Army Wife How-To-Guide. The five topics I’ve decided to concentrate on are the following areas: food & wine, travel, personal stories, military lifestyle, and wellness. These posts are about my experiences traveling with the military. You’ll find everything from dressing for a military ball to job hunting and handling the stress of deployments. I currently live in Daegu, South Korea.

    Hi there,

I just wanted to follow up on my last email regarding converting your blog posts into mobile apps. This will open up a new revenue stream for you as a blogger. Please note that does not involve any out-of-pocket cost on your part, since we work on a revenue share basis.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

What a wonderful blog! Your articles are very well written, and your storytelling ability makes me want to jump on a plane this minute to experience everything you write about. I’ll definitely make this my first stop when I start planning my next overseas trip.

Thank you for all of the hard work that goes into this blog. I am eagerly awaiting your next monthly email.
