I really had no idea we would eat (or drink) out as much as we do. We wanted to live downtown, so we could walk out the door into the mix and that’s exactly what we did for the first 8 months we were here. We still eat out a lot, its good and cheap and now that its just the two of us, its pretty easy too.

Daegu Off-post Housing and Apartment Guide
Are you PCS to Daegu? I created this Daegu Off-post Apartment Guide so you would have information about off-post housing, housing options in Daegu, amenities, schools, and the city of Daegu. I remember when we learned of our PCS to Daegu South Korea. Here is a ton of options, with pictures, for American style apartments in Daegu.
5 Best Bars in Daegu for a Good Beer
The last time we were here all you could get was OB, Cass, Hite and bottled Budweiser, Heineken or Corona. All that changed in April 2014, when the government loosened restrictions that had prohibited microbreweries from operating because they couldn’t match mandated quotas. Now there’s a real trend to microbreweries…
Limousine Bus to the Airport: Easy Way to Get to Incheon Intl Airport
We love the price and flexibility of the train, but hate the transfers. This time we decided to take the bus– the limousine bus at the express terminal at Dondaegu Station here in Daegu.
In Pursuit of Bliss: Exploring Thai Massages in South Korea
I haven’t stopped thinking about Thailand. I snorkeled crystal clear water, canoed bat infested caves, rode the back of a gentle giant & skipped over white peaked waves on a speed boat. But I can’t get one thing out my mind far less adventurous out of my mind. We ended every day with 90-minute Thai massages that blew us away. Back home I searched for authentic practitioners of the art.
Where to Stay in Busan: Sunset Business Hotel on Haeundae Beach
What can I say? I have good instincts. I found the Sunset Business Hotel on www.booking.com. It doesn’t include breakfast, something I usually look for, but it near restaurants, the Metro and the beach and the room looked nice. It’s near everything you’d need for the weekend and best of it all it costs $59 per night and came with free coffee and a view.

How many times have you said you’re living vicariously through another’s words, pictures or stories? When are you going to stop living through someone else’s travels and start some of your own? Are you concerned you don’t have the money? Or the time off work? Or are you just dragging your feet waiting to win the Powerball so you’ll have an unlimited supply of both?
Where to Get Your Western Comfort Food in Busan
Busan has great food. Every now and then I crave something that’s really savory like a thick and juicy hamburger that is not smothered in a sweet sauce. I want something I didn’t cook myself, have to guess what it is, comes on a stick or was alive two minutes ago. There are restaurants that serve French, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Spanish Tapas and of course Korean BBQ– a little something from every corner of the globe.
