After living in Asia, I can’t justify spending $100 on a massage. However, if expensive massages are your thing, the experience here would likely be worth it. Alexis from the spa introduced us to the hotel’s signature candle, a fragrance that made us wish our home could smell like the Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook. Plus, the hotel features a 24-hour staffed front desk, ensuring guests can access assistance at any time. Mountain Brook Hotel: Perfectly Located The hotel sits perfectly situated in the heart of Mountain Brook. Just across the street from the Birmingham Zoo and the Botanical Garden, it’s a great spot for exploring the area. The surrounding neighborhood is filled with shops, restaurants, and massage studios. It’s easy to see why one of Birmingham’s top hotels sits here. Valet parking was smooth and efficient, thanks to James, who was incredibly helpful in explaining the hotel’s services. Although we noticed the night valet seemed more interested in his phone, the overall experience was top-notch. I found out later that the hotel is using a cell phone based app. So the night valet may have been preoccupied with a request from another guest or updating parking details in the system. Despite this, the overall experience remained top-notch, with attentive service and seamless parking logistics throughout our stay. However, we managed to secure a room for $120, and the reception staff graciously upgraded us to a larger corner room that included breakfast, adding even more value to our stay. Our stay at this quirky hotel room was an indulgent experience, blending luxury, art, and comfort in one of Birmingham’s most charming areas.
