Who doesn’t love a themed cafe. Me. I am not the biggest animal lover. They are fun to watch, but I adore them from afar, like kids. If I’m honest, which I strive to do, I avoid them both, opting for the kids & animal free zones. One of my kids has a kid of her own, so you won’t find a lot of purposeful kid-friendly things to do here.
However, Cafe Rin Animal Themed Cafe in Yeongcheon, South Korea offers a one-of-a-kind experience. You can watch the sheep grazing outside the window as you sip your coffee. Or you can go play with them. It’s a fascinating, and slightly strange sight to see them while enjoying the scenic view of the reservoir. The owner even provides free carrots to feed these adorable creatures. They didn’t seem to pay me any attention when I went to feed them. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Steven ordered his usual iced Americano, but I opted for something a bit more unique. I tried the iced lemonade with lavender, and the combination was a delicious sight for both the eyes and the tongue. The lavender added a subtle floral note to the tart lemonade, making for a refreshing and unique beverage.
We also indulged in a few treats while watching the sheep chase each other in front of the reservoir. The pastries were tasty and freshly baked, and we appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation.

However, once you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a modern and chic interior. Ordering is done through tablets, making the process easy and convenient. The cafe is also adorned with Italian Renaissance-inspired decor, complete with a huge Trompe-l’œil painting that adds a touch of sophistication to the space.
One thing that stood out to us was how quiet the cafe was despite its long, narrow space. Even when the cafe was near capacity, we were able to enjoy our visit in peace. This added to the overall ambiance and made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Adding to the unique experience, two robots gracefully navigate the narrow space, almost like ballet dancers. It was quite entertaining to observe their movements. However, despite their charm, the robots are not yet advanced enough to clean up after themselves. Nonetheless, their presence adds an extra touch of novelty to the cafe’s ambiance.

Overall, Cafe Rin is a must-visit if you’re in the area. From the sheep outside to the robots inside, this cafe is truly unique and memorable. The ambiance is modern and chic, and the service is top-notch. Don’t forget to try their pastries and coffee, which are equally delicious. So, take the winding road and head to Cafe Rin for an unforgettable cafe experience.
