Travel + Wellness + Culture + Women Over 50

Category: WELLNESS ON THE ROAD

Travel and wellness after 50 require a different kind of balance and intention. Comfort matters more now, but curiosity still matters just as much. I share practical advice about staying healthy, traveling safely, managing costs, and avoiding unnecessary stress while exploring the world. Baumholder has been my favorite duty station in the 23 years we have traveled with the military. Forty minutes from the French border, the Weinstrasse (wine road). It was less than 90 minutes from Frankfurt, central to a lot of cute towns like Idar Oberstein and less than an hour from Frankfurt Hahn, an international airport and Ryan Air. And Baumholder was in the middle of it all.

If I thought I was just going to come back home and continue to work on my business alone, I was wrong– dead wrong. I am overwhelmed by the follow-up from some of the military spouses, Veterans and sponsors I met over those two days in Dallas. We have built some solid networks and I know that when its time for #milblogging18, I’ll be ready to roll.

Posted on August 10, 2017November 15, 2025
