My Favorites: Cafes With the Most Beautiful Views in Yeosu, South Korea

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

When most people think about Yeosu, they picture the sea. They imagine island-dotted horizons, fishing boats moving through the harbor, and bridges glowing against the night sky. What surprised me most was how many of the city’s best views came with a cup of coffee in hand.

Yeosu’s cafe scene is built around its landscape. Some cafes sit so close to the water that you can hear waves below your table. Others rise high above the coastline, offering panoramic views that stretch across the city, harbor, and open sea. Each one offers a different perspective, whether you are looking for a quiet morning overlooking the water, an afternoon surrounded by ocean breezes, or a sunset view that lingers long after the coffee is gone.

Cheongsudang Yeosu

Cheongsudang Yeosu, in the Mural Marine district, is one of my favorite cafes in the city. It feels peaceful from the moment you walk in. A small stream runs beside the ordering counter, and stepping stones cross a koi pond at the entrance. Inside, black lava stones, woven lanterns, bamboo, and gentle water features create a calm space that makes you want to slow down. The cafe is famous for its fluffy soufflé cake, but the coffee and tea are just as good. If you can, head to the rooftop for the view. I also love visiting just after sunset, when the lights come on and the whole cafe feels quiet and romantic.

Moi Fin Ocean

Few cafes in Yeosu embrace their setting as completely as Moi Fin Ocean. Depending on the time of day, the ocean shifts from deep blue to shimmering silver, creating a constantly changing backdrop. Moi Fin Ocean is one of Yeosu’s most popular cafes, and it’s easy to see why. This five-story bakery cafe was designed to make the most of its oceanfront setting. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows fill every level with sea views, while the rooftop and lower patio let you enjoy the fresh air. The space is bright, modern, and comfortable, with plenty of places to sit and take in the scenery. There’s even a separate exhibition area with a completely different look and feel. Try the Creamy Ocean View Latte and Mugwort Latte. Before you leave, stop by the famous swing overlooking the water. It’s one of the most photographed spots in Yeosu.

Moi Fin Sky

If Moi Fin Ocean places you beside the sea, Moi Fin Sky places you above it. Moi Fin Sky is one of the most impressive cafes in Yeosu. This huge, five-story cafe covers about 1,400 square meters and sits on a hill in Dolsan overlooking the sea. Floor-to-ceiling windows on every level keep the ocean in view, while the rooftop offers one of the best panoramas in the city. The modern design feels more like an art gallery than a coffee shop, making it a destination as much as a cafe. Signature drinks include the Moi Fin Orange Sunset, Soy Bilberry Latte, and Sky Chamomile. You’ll also find fresh pastries inspired by Finnish baking. If you’ve already visited Moi Fin Ocean, this is its larger sister cafe, with even bigger views and more space to relax.

Rafik Cafe

Rafik Cafe is one of the best places in Yeosu to enjoy the coastline. The drinks cost more than average, but you’re really paying for the incredible setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a large outdoor terrace, and plenty of comfortable seating make it easy to spend a few hours here. Walk up to the rooftop Sky Stairway for one of the cafe’s most popular photo spots, then follow the rocky path down to the water for a different view of the coastline. Since Rafik sits next to Art Land, parking is plentiful. I recommend the fresh lemonade over the coffee. The view alone made the visit worthwhile for me, and it’s the kind of place where you lose track of time while watching the sea.

Romantic Cafe

If you’re exploring Gosodong Mural Village, I recommend stopping at Cafe Romantic City. My coffee was good, but the view is what made the visit memorable. The cafe overlooks the ocean, and every floor offers a different perspective. I spent most of my time taking in the scenery, especially from the rooftop. If you can, plan your visit for late afternoon because the sunset is beautiful. The heart-shaped straws were a fun little touch that made me smile.

The cafe has plenty of seating, so it’s easy to settle in and enjoy the view. I also appreciated the friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere. While I only had coffee, the French toast and desserts looked so good that I’d order one next time. If you’re driving, there’s parking behind the building, which is a nice bonus. Between the ocean views, good coffee, and peaceful setting, Cafe Romantic City was one of my favorite stops in Yeosu.

NCNP

If you’re looking for a cafe with one of the best views in Yeosu, I recommend NCNP Cafe overlooking Manseongni Black Sand Beach. The modern, four-story space has floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor and outdoor seating, and a rooftop that’s perfect for taking in the coastline. The rooftop’s famous Sky Stairway has become one of Yeosu’s most popular photo spots, but I found the beach views were the real highlight. Even on cloudy days, the scenery is worth the stop.

Instead of a basic coffee, try one of the cafe’s signature drinks. The Cream Lotus Latte is a smooth latte topped with sweet Lotus cream and pairs perfectly with dessert. If you want something refreshing, order the Night Sea Ade, a lemon-based drink that changes color when you add the syrup. For something sweeter, the Black Sand Cookie Shake blends rich Oreo flavor with crumbled cookie topping.

The prices are a little higher than average, but you’re paying as much for the location as the drinks. It can get busy, especially on weekends, and the parking lot is small, but if you can grab a seat by the windows or on the rooftop, you’ll understand why this is one of Yeosu’s most popular cafes.

Where Coffee Meets the Sea

One of my favorite things about Yeosu is that you never have to choose between a good view and a good place to sit. The city is surrounded by water, and these cafes make the most of it. Some put you right above the waves. Others lift you high enough to see islands scattered across the horizon. No matter which one you choose, you’ll probably find yourself lingering longer than planned, watching the light change across the sea while your coffee grows cold.
